Chinese herbal medicine effective against asthma

Note: As effective as steroids and safe! Chinese herbs score another win.

A plant-based compound using extracts of three herbs, dubbed the anti-asthma herbal medicine intervention (ASHMI), significantly improves lung function in patients with moderate to severe asthma. Moreover, the agent produces results comparable to those achieved with the steroid drug prednisone, according to researchers in the United States and China.

I wish I could help you with this. Since this is a research study for what appears to be an eventual patent application, the authors do not say what the ingredients are. It is not yet manufactured. Even the ingredients of the original formula, MSSM-002, were not revealed.

That said, if you contact a good Doctor of Oriental Medicine or Licensed Acupuncturist in your area, a formula that should help asthma would not be a problem to find.
