Pesticide use link to Parkinson's

Comment: Two major comments here. There are good non-toxic alternatives to deadly pesticides. A web search will pull up dozens of alternatives that can be used on indoor or outdoor plants. Organic is the way to go.
The second comment involves what happens when these deadly chemicals are mixed with a common over-the-counter drug class or proton-pump inhibitors, used for heartburn and GERD. These medications interfere with the livers' ability to detoxify certain chemicals which can greatly increase the harm done by these chemicals. So if you are using a proton-pump inhibitor like Prilosec, be extremely cautious about insecticide and herbicide exposure.

Exposure to pesticides could increase the risk of developing Parkinson's disease, researchers have warned.
The European study, featured in New Scientist magazine, led by a University of Aberdeen expert, said gardeners should wear protective clothing.
