Chronic Kidney Disease Likely In People With Syndrome X 

Tulane researchers, published in the February issue of the Annals of Internal Medicine, report that people with metabolic syndrome (Syndrome X) are nearly 2.5 times more likely to suffer from chronic kidney disease. Additionally, the more signs they have of Syndrome X, the higher their risk of kidney disease.
