Iron Intake From Red Meat Linked to Increased Diabetes Risk 


Heme-iron intake from red meat sources appears to increase the risk of type 2 diabetes, according to a report published in the January 1st issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. Still, this risk may be due to other factors present in red meat.
