Roland Peck is trying to slowly wean himself off the powerful and controversial painkiller Celebrex.
'You know how you sometimes ache all over when you have the flu?' said Peck, who suffers from fibromyalgia. 'It's like that all the time.'
Peck, 70, of Madison is one of many patients who are trying non-drug therapies - everything from acupuncture to exercise, from herbs to massage - to cope with chronic pain.
'Now that I am getting this much relief from acupuncture, I'm going to talk to my doctor about tapering off the Celebrex,' Peck said.
