Girls who do regular jumping exercises around the age of 10 may add bone mass that could delay the onset of osteoporosis in later years, researchers said on Monday.

(Note: A really great reason for limiting television and computer time for children. I'm certain that the benefits of regular exercise on the bones will apply to boys as well.)
